The desk where Martin Luther translated the Bible into German in a room (the “Lutherstube”) at Wartburg Castle in Eisenach, Germany. For his quarters, Luther was given a single room for work, along with a rather narrow adjoining bedroom. To the present day, Wartburg Castle lies in the Thuringian forest in north-central Germany.
